Where have all the cowboys gone: Texas House of Representatives votes on public carry

Even though Texas is one of the states which comes to mind when you mentioned gun-lovers, it currently does not allow its citizens to openly carry handguns.

However, open carry in holsters might soon be a reality for all concealed-weapon licensees, as the House of Representatives voted 96 to 35 for this measure, with Governer Abbott expressing support for this law.

Texas Senate already passed a similar bill and now the two measures have to be settled before they end up in front of the Governor.
