South Carolina Gun Store: “Want to piss off Obama? Buy a gun.”

President Barack Obama is used by a gun store in Simpsonville, South Carolina to increase gun sales in a very controversial marketing campaign which reads “Want to piss off Obama? Buy a gun.”

Simpsonville Gun and Pawn put up the sign following the US President’s call for tougher gun regulations.

The aim of the suggestive message is to sell guns while getting a political message across.

Mark Teal, the owner of the store, told WSPA news: “It’s mainly just to sell guns, but there’s a little bit of political connotation to it also,”

“I just think it is strange that he has 24-hour security, his children and wife have 24-hour security with armed guards everywhere they go and it’s ok for them to have armed guards, but it’s not ok for us to protect ourselves,” Teal also said.

Following a massacre in San Bernardino Obama requested for those on the US no-fly list to be prevented from buying guns.

Every time the US is struck with a mass shooting a debate about the right to buy guns is ignited, without leading to any changes to the legislation.

Gun sales have increased during Obama’s presidency, and Americans have purchased 100 million firearms during his governance.
